COORDINATE MEASURING MACHINE (CMM)
SIRIM Calibration Sdn. Bhd. (SIRIMCal) recently developed new capability in dimensional measurement to support mainly automotive and aerospace sector. This capability is on 3D measurement through a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) providing an accurate measurement for various components such as aircraft propeller blades, jigs, and fixtures.
The CMM measures the geometry of physical objects (either a single point in a 3D shape or the whole shape) by sensing discrete points of the surface of the object with a designated probe.
Apart from basic measurements; length, diameter measurements, and angle, our CMM is capable to measure according to Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) such as straightness, flatness, roundness, as well as multiple axes of an object to get the whole dimension. At the same time, the CMM is capable to capture the profile information and the form of both 2D & 3D Objects.
Essentially, through our CMM facility, SIRIMCal is ready to serve you on high accuracy measurement of your reference parts, jigs and fixtures, and other engineering components.
